Because of this, InfinityZoom187 felt that it was more appropriate as the anthem of the Inostropian Kingdom itself rather than of the entire federation. As a result, he decided that “God Save the Tsar” would remain the anthem of the Inostropian Kingdom, while the Inostropian Federation would adopt a new federal anthem. The chosen piece was “Ode to Joy,” the anthem of the European Union, reflecting the federation’s nature as a union of different member states.
