Description:
Britannia has been continuously raided by various Germanic tribes during Roman occupation. According to Gildas, after the Romans leave Britannia, the now defenceless country is invaded and conquered by Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Frisians and Franks, whose homelands were unfit for agriculture and under constant attack from nomadic tribes. The Britons are either killed or forced to flee their land.
However, recent evidence suggests that Gildas' accounts aren't 100% trustworthy, and there may not have been an invasion at all aside from the Battle of Badon, and rather the Germanic legionnaires already living in Britainnia gained cultural influence after the Romans left.
