On this day the North Koreans came across the 38th parallel and attacked the Republic of Korea. This war caused the U.S. to contain communism. The U.S. did not want anymore communists in South Korea. MacArthur who was commander and Chief also took part in this war by trying to get the Chinese to join. He lead his troops all the way to Yalu River.Added to timeline:
