Description:

- Glorious Revolution takes James II off the thrown (William and Mary replace)
- 1689, colonists overthrow Dominion and restore old colonies in support of Will and Mary
- Mass. wrangles with William to restore original 1629 charter (self-ruling govt. with no royalty).
- Compromise has royal governor and elected
assembly (which controls taxes and
governor's salary, etc) BUT Puritans no longer
the official religion
- RI and CT too small to fight over --> get original, republican charter
