jan 1, 1020 BC - Battle of the Wood of Ephraim

Description:

According to 2 Samuel, the Battle of the Wood of Ephraim occurred during a revolt led by Absalom against his father, King David. Absalom, recently returned from exile, garnered support and eventually rebelled against David's rule. The battle took place in the forest of Ephraim, east of the Jordan River, where Absalom's forces faced David's army. Despite Absalom's initiative, his forces were disadvantaged by the forest terrain and were defeated. Absalom fled but met his demise when his hair became entangled in a tree, allowing David's forces to catch up and kill him.
