apr 25, 1885 - Indian National Congress Origins
Description:
It was created in British India in 1885 by upper-class Hindus to serve all Indians. It was a form to express concerns to colonial officials on taxation and other things. Eventually, the INC called for Indian self-rule. However, Muslims did not believe that Hindus had their best interests so they created the Muslim League. In 1906, the two groups joined together to try and gain rights/ independence.
