jan 17, 1941 - 1941: The USSR enters WW2 and makes a pragmatic alliance with the church to appeal to the patriotism, boost morale and inspire people to fight. He makes a deal with Metropolitan Sergey that if the church proclaims Stalin is 'Gods chosen leader' he will end anti-religious propaganda and censorship of religious magazines. He also re-opened 414 church in the final year of the war.
