There are seventeen articles that are part of this declaration. These articles all relate to this general statement. One example is article 1 which is specific to rights of liberty such as owning private property and and the right to resist oppression. Another example is article 11 which states freedom of speech. The Declaration of the Rights of Man was a political attack on the monarchy and brought France another step towards a new constitution.
