This being that wandered the astral plane was a monstrosity, a shadowy figure that bled power like nothing met before. The amorphous being that stood there was shrinking. He was being forgotten… the worst thing that a spiritual deity could go through. It was strangely painless. That is when Zavourn found him. He was less of an essence at that time, with a much more solid form. He came and immediately knew the problem. The energy of the astral surrounded him, and the being felt a tugging. And then a pulling. And then a pain like no other. His connection to the unseen was broken. His form stabilized, a quiet shadow, a forever presence. And Zavourn named me. The Immortal. Zavourn had long since become comfortable using the well of magic that inundated him, and so he simply tied the being to the fabric of the astral plane.
