jul 8, 1549 - Kett's rebellion

Description:

Robert Kett led a peaceful protest of 16000 people against a local landowner, Flowerdew. They were protesting against sheep farming because jobs and land were being taken from the poor, and against rising prices. It turned into an armed protest within the Norwich city walls. 3000 people were killed and Kett was hanged.
