The British had almost 9,000 soldiers positioned in Germantown. Washington had an idea to attack the city because of their advantage of more men. He attacked the British from multiple sides at dawn. This plan failed severly, and they lost, only able to escape becasue of the darkness of the night.Added to timeline:
