Description:
This was a reaction to the removal of gunpowder from a magazine near Boston by British soldiers. it proved to be a false alarm, the Powder Alarm caused political and military leaders to proceed more carefully, essentially providing a practice round for the Battles of the future. This led to a series of events that set up the opening battles of the American Revolutionary War. So in hindsight, this false alarm helped the colonists win the war.
