Description:

In 750, the Umayyad Dynasty was overthrown by the Abbasids who then established their own dynasty that would last until 1258. The Abbasid dynasty quickly ushered in the golden age of Islam, characterized by its achievements in law, philosophy, literature, medicine, architecture, and science. Many Christians took part in the many advancements made under Muslim rule. They mostly worked in the capital, Baghdad, where they contributed to both secular and Christian advancement.
