Keef had turned 25, and he was a big draw for the Toby. He was SO highly regarded that he would be one of only a handful of Brits to play at that summer's Woodstock Festival, taking to the stage for the 4.45pm slot on Saturday August 16 after Santana, with Gary Thain, bass; Miller Anderson, vocals and guitar; Ian Cruickshank, guitar; Henry Lowther, trumpet; and Jimmy Jewell, sax.
