jan 1, 1825 - Decembrist revolt
Description:
The Decembrist revolt in Russia was headed by army officers who supported reforms and were displeased with the lack of changes being made to further Russia. They tried to take over the government when Tsar Alexander I died. However, it failed terribly and even led the next tsar, Nicholas I, to be less inclined to conduct reforms.
