The asset named CANTSMOKEBTC is considered the first 'proof of share' token on Counterparty.

The artist, Scrilla, made 1000 total of CANTSMOKEBTC and anyone who shared the song or video of CANT SMOKE A BITCOIN on Twitter or Instagram, Scrilla sent them a CANTSMOKEBTC as proof that they participated.

He ended up burning 900+, which was the unused remainder, but about 60 people participated at the time. His theory was that this token was a proof of concept that people would participate in an artists success (social media promotion) and get rewarded a time stamped proof that they did in fact do so.

Scrilla mentioned, 'I ran an ad campaign on Twitter for $50 at same time to compare how the two different strategies would work - I ended up getting a significant amount more of traction from the token share and it cost almost 10x less... with the exception of paying $5 or so to send out the 60ish tokens.'

It gained enough traction that Art Rozenbaum, a writer for bitsonline, wrote an article about it. It was also instructed to the users to use the hashtag #CANTSMOKEBTC which is still very visible and searchable on twitter to this day.

This song was also one of the first to be promoted on all the possible blockchain solutions, which at the time included: Ujo, Counterparty, SuperRare and ERC-888.
