Blackbox is a unique art project established in 2021 by Jdog with the goal of helping promote donations to Counterparty and the developer community.

The goal was also to bring Counterparty token awareness and usefulness while bringing it to a larger audience through a unique blend of grassroots efforts and guerrilla marketing.

Owning a BLACKBOX token or its subasset derivitaves shows user participation in the project and support for the community.

These tokens are usually for things like The Counterparty General Fund, Funding for Xchain Servers, specific Counterparty Improvement Proposal Funding, funding for the Counterparty Community Manager, and other token initiatives that enable users to donate to specific improvements or currently running sub-structures of the Counterparty Community.

Holding these tokes also incentivizes token rewards and other special access to new features down the road in the Counterparty Community which only BLACKBOX token holders will get to fully participate in and appreciate.
