This Counterparty asset, GRUMPYCAT, was minted as 'a fun asset that was used to demonstrate the coindaddy.io asset services'.

At the time this was issued, the Coindaddy service offered an 'asset vending machine service' similar to the same basic functionality as dispensers (which are active currently on the Counterparty Protocol). Except in this situation you could pay with any XCP or XDP asset/token.

This service not in operation today, but was at that time.

The vending machine service was a service where people deposited their tokens into a main vending machine hot-wallet. Then the user would setup rules to listen for payments to addresses they configured, and then dispense a token using the Coindaddy 3rd-party service.
