This is the first user tokenized asset to be issued (or 'minted') using Counterparty. It had no text, image, audio or any data associated with it. Years later when this historical token was re-found, the creator of the asset decided to add some key information and some community art to represent it.

It was created by the Bitcointalk Forum user by the name of 'jimhsu' when he was testing the Counterparty Protocol.

TEST was the first asset used for testing the Counterparty Decentralized Exchange. At the time (before Ethereum was launched) Etherscan founder, Matthew Tan, was one of the few individuals involved in testing Counterparty functionality, such as the TEST/XCP market pair.

TEST is considered the first 'Fungible' user asset created historically on the Counterparty protocol. It was even created before the protocol required 0.5 XCP burned to create a named asset.
