jan 1, 640 - Trade with Tibet

Description:

Princess Wencheng married into a Tibetan family and brought tea along with her. Shortly after, trade between mainland China and Tibet started and they established the "Tea Horse Road" which was close to the "Silk Road" but much shorter.

As the name suggests, tea was exchanged for horses between Tibet and and mainland China.

Although I could not find out other trade dates with other parts of China, the "Tea Horse Road" was used to trade tea with Tibet, as well as Yunnan and Sichuan,
