Description:
When you pulled the trigger on a matchlock gun a lever would come down, with a burning rope on it, and touch to the gunpowder. This would ignite the gunpowder and fire the bullet which needed to be loaded in the barrel prior to firing. With the matchlock soldiers could fire about two shots per minute.Added to timeline:
