nov 11, 1918 - Armistice signed - peace
Description:
The armistice called for a ceasefire, and lead to talks between the countries for peace. It was accepted by Friedrich Ebert, the leader of the SDP (Social Democratic Party).
This armistice was disliked by far-right members, who believed they could have won the war if the SPD hadn't come to power, and called the politicians the "November criminals". This lead to the <i>'Stab in the back theory'</i> or <b>Dolchstoss</b> .
