Description:
Even after the ruling from Brown v. Board of Education that Segregation in schools was unconstitutional there was still mandatory segregation laws so it still made many schools across the U.S still segregated and there was a a lot of resistance.
the NAACP and Little Rock, Arkansas school board both agreed to allow mixed schools starting with high schools. Nine African American students that day tried to enter the all white school but were denied and were met with hostile white students.
