Fish was a mentally troubled boy that grew up without a father and in an abusive environment. This led Fish to fade out of reality into a world filled with his own crazy lusts and obsessions at a very young age. Although Fish was capable of seeming normal and living in reality he was clearly controlled by his obsessions and lusts his whole life.
