FROM THE DAILY MAIL:
'You won't even catch her with a hot dog!' Producer hilariously claims Amber Heard stayed well away from canines whilst shooting Aquaman in Australia... after she was fined for smuggling her pooches into the country back in 2015
Amber Heard famously plead guilty to falsifying border protection documents after she smuggled her pooches Pistol and Boo into Australia back in May 2015.
And when she returned to the country to film the blockbuster Aquaman last year, the 32-year-old actress made sure she stayed well away from any kind of dog.
'You won't even catch her with a hot dog!' the movie's producer Peter Safran hilariously remarked, according to a new article in The Courier Mail.
Amber stars as Mera in the forthcoming film, based on the wildly popular DC comic book series.
The big-budget action movie - which reportedly cost AUD $215 million to make - was filmed over the course of four months on the Gold Coast.
It's the same city where the actress and her now ex-husband Johnny Depp faced court in 2016, accused of smuggling their two Yorkshire Terriers into the country on a private jet the previous year.
The incident caused a media storm at the time, with then Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce threatening to put the pups down.
Amber escaped conviction and was issued a $1,000 fine in addition to a one-month good behaviour bond.
After facing court, she and Johnny filmed a 20-second video claiming they were 'truly sorry' for sneaking Pistol and Boo into Australia.
The couple separated just a month after the video was filmed, with the blonde beauty getting custody of the beloved dogs.
Since her split from Johnny, Amber has dated billionaire Elon Musk, and has recently been linked to art dealer Vito Schnabel.
Meanwhile, Aquaman will hit cinemas in December, and co-stars Jason Mamoa and Nicole Kidman.
