Description:

In 1991, Iraq invaded Kuwait. Fear grew in the United States, when they thought that Iraq's next target would be Saudi Arabia which forced Bush to send in American troops in Operation Desert Shield. This would be a success by pushing back the Iraqis from Kuwait and back into Iraq. They would not go into Iraq to try and remove Saddam Hussein since this was not the mandate that had been proposed.
