Mankombu Sambasivan Swaminathan (Hindustani: मनकोम्बु संबासिवन स्वामीनाथन), known as M. S. Swaminathan (Hindustani: एम. एस. स्वामीनाथन), was an Indian agronomist, scientist, plant geneticist and political activist. He died of natural causes on the 28th of September 2023.
