jan 1, 1911 - Ernest Rutherford
Description:
In 1911, Rutherford created a new model for atoms in which he described there being a nucleus, which was the concentration of the atom’s mass. The light, or negatively charged, electrons orbited around the nucleus in a way that Rutherford described as being similar to planets orbiting the sun.
