feb 1, 1803 - John Dalton
Description:
In 1803, Dalton (1766-1844) created a new atomic model. Dalton’s atomic model states that all matter is made of indivisible and indestructible atoms with distinct properties and masses, which determined the physical nature of their constituent elements
Some of his formulas were incorrect. For example, he proposed that water was OH instead of H2O, but his ideas about the structure proved revolutionary and helped pave the way for future developments of chemistry
