Description:

Ratification of the 19th Amendment declaring women may vote. The amendment was put into place in enough time for women to be able to vote in the 1920 presidential election. This amendment was the culmination of the Women's Suffrage Movement. However, the amendment failed to encumber minority women such as African-American, Asian American, and Native American women.
