Description:
As a result of the Adams-Onís (or Transcontinental) Treaty, the two Spanish colonies of East and West Florida were transferred from Spain to the United States and became a single American territory, initially with twin capitals at Pensacola and Saint Augustine. We didn't gain any states but we gained $5 million dollars in damage done by american citizens who rebelled against spain.
