Interactive Physics, a STEM physics software is released by Knowledge Revolution, which was founded by David Baszucki and co-owned by his brother Gregory Baszucki. It became especially popular for teaching students about physics in a 2D space. It would soon become an influence on the creation of Roblox. Interactive Physics was a 2D simulated physics laboratory originally written for the Macintosh Plus. Users could drag parts, hinges, ropes, and springs to create and measure physics experiments. Interactive Physics was translated to nine languages and sold millions of copies. It was sold to MSC Software in December 1998 for $20 million.
