Between 1913 and 1920 S.L. Rothapfel bounced around NYC as manager of multiple theaters, such as the Stand Theater(opened 1914), Rialto Theater (1916), Rivoli Theater(1917), and the 5300 seat Capitol Theater (took over management in 1920). Rothapfel continued to provide a more extravagant presentation of bigger and better shows in the increasingly lavish theaters he managed.
