sep 18, 1931 - Japan Invades Manchuria
Description:
The cracks in the League started to appear in 1931 with the Japanese invasion of Manchuria. The sheer lack of effort on the side of the League to meaningfully support Manchuria, or to condemn Japan outside of asking them to leave, and Japan leaving the League without consequences, was the beginning of the end for the League. This emboldened other powers in the future to step on the League and do whatever they wanted because the League was powerless to stop them.
