The Sons and Daughters of Liberty were a diverse group of American patriots who were not afraid to stand up to British tyranny to end their injustices.The Sons of Liberty had rituals, codes, symbols, etc. This secret club had formed as a response to the Stamp Act. They ransacked houses of British officials, threatened tax collectors, and coordinated their activities down the coast.
The Daughters of Liberty were an important part of the nonimportation action. Due to the national textile shortage, mass spinning bees were organized in colonial cities to make substitutes. The Daughters of Liberty were instrumental for upholding the boycott.
