After overcoming a legal-minefield of issues, Self Driving car technology becomes the worldwide standard, with all new vehicles being sold with self-driving software inbuilt from day one, and affordable DIY upgrade kits being made available for cars of older makes.

It was not merely just the technological leaps and bounds resulting from the trial and error coding of self-driving-corporation empoyees which lead to the technology becoming more or less perfected. The final hurdles were almost entirely overcome by Generative AI alone, using self corrective algorythms that could code solutions no human programmer could have even thought to try.
