Description:

Pariah, the sole survivor of the first universe to be destroyed during Crisis on Infinite Earths, has harnessed the power of the Great Darkness, after stealing it from Darkseid, in an attempt to restore his long-lost universe by destroying the current Multiverse. After using his new Dark powers to slaughter the entire Justice League of Prime Earth, a new League is formed by the deceased members' various proteges. In the conflict between Pariah and the heroes of the Multiverse, Deathstroke replaces Pariah as the host of the Great Darkness, seeking to destroy the Multiverse rather than recreate it after the lifetime of pain and suffering he and his family have endured throughout the history of DC. He is eventually stopped by the heroes of Earth imbued with the power of Black Adam, at which point Nightwing harnesses the power of the Great Darkness to set the Multiverse back to normal and restore all of its heroes to their rightful places in it. An additional effect of this event is that the Multiverse is not just saved, but is doubled in size. In the current Infinite Multiverse, each universe exists on its own in tandem with a version of itself that reflects what that specific universe looked like before its destruction in Crisis on Infinite Earths. With this new addition to the hierarchy of the Multiverse, it can now be said that the entirety of the DC timeline and Multiverse are now fully restored to their prime, before the destructive events of any Crisis.
