Description:

The bat god Barbatos, formerly the pet dragon of the World Forger, had taken over his previous master's Forge in the Dark Matter Universe, and had used to create his own Dark Multiverse, which is comprised of the worst nightmares of the heroes of the main, positive matter-comprised Multiverse. Having grown bored at one point, Barbatos found himself traveling throughout space and time when he laid eyes on Bruce Wayne of Prime Earth for the first time. This occurred during the time period of Bruce's life when he had been temporarily transported into the Stone Age after being struck by both of Darkseid's Omega Beams during the Final Crisis. Inspired by Gotham's Dark Knight, Barbatos decides that the Batman will be format for his army of Dark Multiversal variants that he will use to assault and overthrow the positive matter Multiverse. After Batman is tricked into opening a portal to the Dark Multiverse, Barbatos and his legions emerge, unleashing the full might of his dark designs onto Prime Earth, and by extension the rest of the DC Multiverse. Together, the heroes and villains of Earth must stop Barbatos and his legions of evil Batman-variants, led by the Batman Who Laughs, from overthrowing the Multiverse and replacing it with the Dark. In the aftermath of the conflict, Barbatos is imprisoned, but the Source Wall is shattered, freeing Perpetua, one of the omnipotent beings known as The Hands and the creator of the DC Multiverse, as well as the mother of the Over-Monitor, the Anti-Monitor, and the lesser-known brother of the two, Alpheus, the World Forger.
