within this treaty England agreed to relinquish some of the land claims within France and in return France would pay a pension of £20,000 yearly, they would also settle the dowry payments owed to the sister of King Henry, Mary, Queen of France England also agreed to work to secure the release of King Francis of France who was held prisoner by Spain and in return France agreed to not renew the Aud alliance with Scotland
