A film producer is trying to claim Amber Heard has a history of giving the runaround when it comes time to sit for a deposition, and is using her divorce with Johnny Depp as his ammo to hit the actress with $20,000 in sanctions.

Producer Chris Hanley’s company, Nicola Six Limited, claims Heard bailed on a scheduled deposition earlier this year after she claimed she was in Australia filming “Aquaman,” but was supposed to have her lawyers provide dates on when she would be available.

The deposition is part of a $10 million lawsuit filed against the actress last year for allegedly breaching performance and promotional obligations on “London Fields” by failing to perform her acting services and then no-showing at the Toronto premiere.

Nicola Six is trying to show that Heard has a history of making depositions difficult by pulling out the big guns, her divorce from Johnny Depp.

The documents state that her “Prior attempts and actions taken to avoid appearing for deposition are documented in the court filings in her public divorce proceedings from Johnny Depp,” and point out that she refused to agree to a date until Depp filed two motions compelling her to do so. They also say when she finally did sit for questioning, she was two hours late and then refused to testify.

They want Heard to fork over $20,000 in sanctions to recover the costs paid to the legal team for trying to secure her deposition.
