Description:
It starts in several fishing villages on Minamata, Japan, where people ate a lot of seafood. The first records of the disease start in Mid 1050´s. By 1959 it was discovered that the illness was mercury poisoning produced for waste coming from a petrochemical plant.
The petrochemical plant stopped by 1968, but as recent as 2013 there is still traces of people being affected by this.
