Description:
Major Event 2: On February 15, a superbolide (super bright meteor) exploded 12 miles above Chelyabinsk, Russia, expending energy equivalent to 30 of the atom bomb that exploded in Hiroshima. 6 surrounding cities were inflicted with broken windows, and flying glass caused 1500 residents to end up in hospitals. To this day, we don’t know what parent body the Chelyabinsk meteor came from, although many theories have surfaced.
