jan 1, 1883 - Big Bear Mountains
Description:
(1883) Those of Spanish descent first came to the Bear Valley in the San Bernardino Mountains (hence the present name “Big Bear”). The company collected and pumped water here as part of the California region they migrated for resources. This was helpful because they needed access to food and water. This made it convenient for them to settle and develop the now known Inland Empire area.
