was made after the Spanish war (Apr 21, 1898 – Dec 10, 1898)This was basically a restricted self government made for Puerto Ricans under the greed and mistreatment of America. The US citizenship terms were not specifically stated, it only granted the USA an opportunity to “save” Puerto Rico from their own government. Woodorw Wilson then signed the Jones Act to permit the Puerto Ricans into the war due to the pressures of Germany.
