"[a] A son of Karmen and foreign blood [b] will be born with eyes of a thousand suns and with hair whiter than snow. [c] He will bring death to life and life to death. [d] A great warrior, the greatest of heroes, yet the worst of legends. [e] He will be blessed by the gods and demons, touched by their grace and rage. [f] He will hear their voices and wield their hate. [g] Setting fire to blood, he will be known by all as the Mad. [h] His hate will destroy him, it will lead him into glorious battle and end in great death [i] and with his death, love will bring a new future that will forever change the world. [j] The boy will be the savior and ruin of his people."
[a] King Rolísis Fèsbotsèy was born to an Oipientian father, King Javik Fèsbotsèy who's mother was Eledf Karmen, and to a Merrician mother, Jase Tsoyathase (the first cousin to his father).
[b] He was born with bright blonde hair, although it did eventually darken into dark brown hair as he got older. He was also born with bright green eyes and although not the same color as a sun, it was unique to his family.
[c] Rolísis had been the direct killer of numerous people throughout his life and the accidental killer of thousands as well, with physically killing people in war (bringing death to their lives) and accidentally setting fire to Linime causing the people to burn alive (bringing their lives to death).
[d] During his time, he was one of the best warriors in Yueroki and the best with a warhammer. He was regarded as a great strategist and swordsmen as well, often dueling lords of towns he had conquered in exchange for their freedom and obedience. He had been regarded as being extremely kind and considerate to poor folk and refugees in war, granting him the title of hero. However, he caused the Great Fire of Linime, mercilessly killed royal families that disobeyed him, conquered land even though he did not need to, and continued the Grotian Invasion out of spite and revenge thus forming it into the 2nd Hells War, one of the most devastating wars of the Pre-Modern Era of Yueroki. All of these things earned him great hatred in history and even in his own time.
[e] Numerous priests said that he was blessed by the gods due to his blonde hair and strange green eyes but because he was an extremely angry and hateful child, some also said that he had been blessed by demons as well. They said that he had the kindness of gods but the rage of demons.
[f] At around 10-12 years old, Rolísis developed schizophrenia and began seeing people who were not there and hearing disembodied voices. These voices and people heavily confused the young boy and often convinced him to do very bad things, including the Great Fire of Linime. The voices would make him fall into anger more easily and lead him into tantrums as a kid and into rage fits as an adult.
[g] Once again referencing the Great Fire of Linime, Rolísis had set an accidental fire in a haystack in the center of the city, leading to a giant fire that fully engulfed the city and its people, thus setting fire to the people's blood while alive. This event led him to be known as Rolísis the Mad as he blamed the voices that he would hear as the reason why he set the fire.
[h] While nearing the end of his life, he became more and more obsessed with conquering land and battle itself. He loved the thrill of fighting in close combat and swinging his hammer, killing foes and this led him to continue pushing further and further, eventually ending up at the Battle of Gošiba. The Oipientians won the battle, but while Rolísis was walking back to camp while in the middle of the battle field, a lone enemy archer shot an arrow at the king and pierced his chest. He fell to the ground and his wife ran over to him and held him. He said his last wishes and the died in her arms, leading to a great death scene.
[i] In his final wishes that he told to his wife, he wanted the Oipientian throne to go to a new dynasty and not to his son or to his brother or anyone related to him. His wife, Movithi Gerete, had their two year old son killed, then traveled to Kaal, Johjek and murdered Rolísis's brother Zerifo and his wife (but could not find their son Xerin), and then traveled to Makarum, Xoxebati and killed Rolísis's sister Sobeva. Movithi then took the Oipientian Crown and declared her heir to be Great Knight Nemdov Laporot, and killed herself. Thus fulfilling Rolísis's final wish of a new future for Oipienta as the Laporot Dynasty would lead to the creation of the Oipientian Empire, which became the Javician Empire and dominated Yueroki for centuries.
[j] Although he helped his own people, he also greatly damaged them and killed thousands of them (albeit by accident).
During Rolísis's life, the Mad Serpent Prophecy became more prevalent and he was told by many priests and his own family that he was destined to fulfill it. As he got older, the signs became more clear but he would always deny it until the day before he sent Zerifo to Kaal and they dueled. There he accepted it and said that he was proud to have an nickname that imposed fear into his own enemies. He did not fully believe himself to be the destined Mad Serpent foretold in the prophecy as he thought he would live for many years and not die in battle.
