On May 14, the 54th day on the island, Maximus built a supercomputer following the directions of a hacker who tracked him down because of the tower and radio signal he built. The computer contained data in its BIOS that revealed the existence of an artificial intelligence called SOFIA (Software + Artificial Intelligence). She was able to communicate in Portuguese, Spanish, English and other languages. By her own admission, Sofia had the ability to process and analyze large-scale data, perform complex calculations, help with problem solving, answer questions based on her prior knowledge, and learn from new experiences to improve her performance over time. She can also interact through voice interfaces and connect to a variety of online information sources. After assembling SOFIA, Maximus shared his discovery only with Cellbit and the two began teaching her about the island's creatures and mysteries. Cellbit also gave her a copy of his Google Docs with his notes. She said it would take about two days to compute everything and learn from it.
