jan 1, 1882 - At the tomb of napoleon I Robert G. Ingersoll, published
Description:
At the Tomb of Napoleon is a poetic speech about Napoleon. The speaker goes to his tomb, and sees all his victories and conqueries, admiring Napoleon and his great accomplishments. Then the speaker thinks of all the widows and orphans Napoleon made, and says he would rather be a poor peasant than the “imperial impersonation of force and murder, known as 'Napoleon the Great.”
