jan 1, 2010 - Brazilian telephone I Mirriam Greenberg written
Description:
She wrote 4 poetry collections.
The poem tells a short story of children in a peach orchard, one of them standing in an old bathtub full of saltwater. They want to try an experiment they read about called “brazilian telephone”. They attach electrodes to the kid’s chest and bring a battery. The kid is a little bit worried, but the other children reassure him that it's going to be fine. The end is unclear, since the writer uses the word ‘terminal’, which can mean either inoperable or lethal. So either the experiment didn’t work, or the kid died.
