jan 1, 1955 - Tyrannosaurus and Edmontosaurus
Description:
By Ely Kish, Kish was one of the first women in the field, and her subjects were painted in extreme weather conditions. Kish was active at a time when scientists first recognised and publicised global climate change. She painted numerous scenes of the mass extinction that killed the dinosaurs, imbuing her images of prehistoric apocalypse with modern-day anxiety.
