jan 1, 2017 - The dreamland wax musume was opened
Description:
The Dreamland Wax Museum is a wax museum in downtown Boston which was established in 2017, and unlike other wax museums, allows the visitors to interact, touch, take selfies, and the like with the wax figures rather than just viewing them behind a rope. The museum employs an artist (or multiple) every day to touch up the figures’ make up, complexion and everything that needs fixing after being disturbed by visitors. It is owned by Dreamz Entertainment, a Brazilian company that runs more than 35 museums in Central and South America, this being its first opening in the US. Half of the museum is dedicated to historical figures like Lincoln, and not just pop-culture phenomena like Beyonce and Elvis. They have also invested with an app called Cuseum that lets you listen to facts about the figures with voice actors impersonating them. Unfortunately, the museum shut down operations during the pandemic and is yet to rise back up.
